Navigating the NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit) journey can feel overwhelming and isolating, but you’re not alone. Whether you’re a first-time parent or have been here before, NICUCEO is your resource for practical guidance, emotional support, and tools to help you bond with your baby during this critical time.
Every moment in the NICU is unique, bringing challenges, questions, and emotions. No matter where you are in your journey—whether you’re just beginning or preparing to transition home—you’ll find the resources and community here to empower you and support your family.
NICUCEO was born from a single moment that changed everything for me. As a neonatologist, I spend my days caring for fragile newborns and their families. One week, I cared for a baby whose parents faced the unimaginable heartbreak of saying goodbye. During the baby’s final moments, we carefully transferred him into his parents’ arms—a profound yet challenging experience.
That week, I reflected on how many barriers parents face when bonding with their medically fragile babies, especially with restricted visitation policies and other challenges. This experience, one of hundreds I’ve witnessed, left me determined to do more.
NICUCEO is my way of breaking down those barriers. It’s a space to share practical advice, trusted resources, and parent-recommended products to help families bond with their babies and navigate the NICU with confidence. Through affiliate partnerships, we also aim to expand and create even more tools to serve NICU families.
I’m a board-certified neonatologist with years of experience caring for hundreds of infants across all levels of NICU care—Levels 2, 3, and 4. My work focuses on providing specialized medical care for premature and critically ill newborns while supporting their families during their NICU journey.
I’m also a parent to five children, one of whom spent time in the NICU. Experiencing the NICU as both a doctor and a parent has profoundly shaped my perspective. I understand in some small part the emotional rollercoaster, the fear, and the hope that come with having a baby in the intensive care. This dual perspective informs everything I create on NicuCEO—from blog posts to practical guides—to better support you.
The NICU can feel overwhelming, but knowledge is power. NicuCEO is here to give you actionable tools and resources to help you:
Bond with your baby through evidence-based techniques like kangaroo care and sensory stimulation.
Understand NICU procedures, tests, and terminology in simple terms.
Advocate confidently for your baby’s care.
Our mission is to empower parents, foster connection, and provide guidance so you feel more confident and prepared every step of the way.

Resources for NICU Parents
At NicuCEO, we strive to be a trusted resource for parents navigating the NICU journey, offering knowledge and tools to empower and support you. However, we understand that sometimes, you need more than just information—you need the comfort and understanding that comes from talking to someone who has been in your shoes. While we don’t offer live conversations with families at this time, we’ve compiled a list of other organizations that provide this invaluable support. These resources offer emotional, educational, and practical assistance that all NICU parents might find helpful.
